I agree with Mike's statement in his recent article. Sherman wheels were
symmetrical, either concave-concave or convex-convex, not mixed. Attached
is a photo of the convex-convex type, which was rather common on the
surviving French/Benelux Shermans.
I don't doubt there are mixed wheels out there, but my suspicion is that
they are lash-ups created to fill out the suspension of a scrap tank being
sent to a museum rather than a production or MWO item.
