It might - inside the two halves rather than outside.

They are riveted and welded. The attached section is one of the convex
wheels. The stamped, spoked wheels were the same construction from what I
can tell.

In the exploded view, the welds are in the groove that runs down the middle
of the OD. There is a band or rim on the inside that the wheel halves are
actually welded to.
