I agree, the exploded view seems to show that there are two identical
shells. They are either slipped over an inner ring, and filet welded to the
ring, or butt welded together. I suspect, as you do, the former, at least,
that would be how I would design it, the fixtures would be a bit tough for
one that was butt welded together, and the scrap rate would probably be
pretty high for out of roundness.

I agree that they are the spoked and convex are same construction, almost
identical, except for the fabrication of the flange.

I am becoming convinced that the concave/convex wheel is a misidentification
of the wheel position, which is easy to do. I can't see how or why one
would be built that way.

Where did the crossection come from?

BTW. The M110A1 came. Thanks very much. As far as I can see the track
looks pretty much like the real thing except that the inside bolt holding
the pad is missing. I took some pictures the other day for you. What do
you think is wrong with it?
