Hi,
I understand what you mean about access to books, I too appreciate not every
one lives in North America.
The above links from Amazon will give you some useful extracts of the book I
referred to and two others.
Regarding the late model Tigers.
All Tiger 1s were of the same Ausf the E, H and H1 are just alternative
designations used at different times.
By late I assume you mean steel wheels as per the Tamiya kit. The following
units used late models in the East as supported by photos and unit records
indicating the unit ws in the East during the appropriate time period:
SPz Abt 505 zimmerit over yellow with brown Russia 1944
Gross Deutchland
Totenkopf
SPz Abt 510 in Courland yellow base with white wash
SPz Abt 509
SPz Abt 507
SPz Abt 506
SPz Abt 505
SPz Abt 504
For unit insignia I suggest you visit Archer http://www.archertransfers.com/
as while you may not purchase their detail sets they have accurate images of
their transfers on the site for the units mentioned above. If you go to my
review of the Lion Roar Tiger unit markings on this web site you will find
some more information. I researched all my comments in that review.
As I don't have a scanner I can't help with your other requests.
