Hello Angelo,

Sure I've seen a few plain dark yellow Schwimmwagens.

One very clear pic of one such car can be found in "Volkswagen Militärfahrzeuge 1938-1948" (Karl Müller Verlag), it's part of German forces entering Monaco just after Italy surrended to the
allies in 1943, license plate reads WH-1482758.
