The short list of necessary modifications would be these:
- Delete AAMG ring around commander's cupola (replace with a steel post welded to the periscope cover just forward of the hatch pivot.)
- Delete half the mounting bolts securing the engine cover (Front and back, fill in the second-to-last bolts on either side, plus every alternate one down each side.)
- Five foliage loops per side were welded on either side of the turret.
Optional modifications would be to change the exhaust guards to a second pattern of the cast type (both the APG and Ft. Knox vehicles have these) and replacing the final set of roadwheels on either side to steel-rimmed ones.
