G'day, Forum,

I've started fitting together bits of the Tamiya Type 1 75 mm SPG, and have thought it might be interesting to try opening the floor ammo box storage bins. There is apparently no documentation of the configuration of these containers, so speculation extrapolated from other AFVs by those more knowlegeable than I am is welcome.

For instance, I know that the M7 Priest also had additional ammo storage under the floor, although I don't remember seeing the configuration of these either, and US ammo was, of course, packaged differently.

1. Woul the Type 1 stowage have involved restraining shells with clips or similar, or can shells just be stacked?
2. As an aside, is it curious that there appears to have been no provision for ready rounds on this vehicle?

TIA and best to all,
Stefen
