I gotta ask which Commander. Yea, the one in the 56007 Porsche turret was trash, as it was a recast of the 80's (56004) one. So is the one in the 56018 King Tiger multi-function.

The new ones that came with the Tiger 1's were really nice (I had two as the static Tiger kit gives you an option of 2)

The Tamiya 1/16 Tank Commander (36301) is a bit better but his arms will require radical reposing. I've heard the Dragon figs are similar, but again, the pose bites (bad arm positioning)

You want a nice figure, buy the Rommel fig (36305), as you can use the forward-facing arms to hold the binocs (or something else) He even has an M43 type cap.

The S&T are nice, but ~bloody~ expensive.
