The modifications made to the Finnish StuGs were almost all of originally of German design (the visor armor for instance). They were copied from practices used by the German StuG Brigade 303, which fought on the "Isthmus" in Finland during the summer of ī44.
No Finnish StuG left Finland during the war. But the "303" shipped all their vehicles out of the country when departing in September 1944.
A canīt say what the unit of the StuG of the photo is. But one possibility is that itīs an ex-303 vehicle. |
