Dear Paul,

I read through the debate in that discussion group behind the link you posted earlier here. And some books too.

I think there's some interesting material that suggests that Wittman's tank could have been 231. On the other hand it could have been 212 that was abandoned and destroyed in V-B. The evidence is not so clear. I know much of the evidence at hand suggests Wittman used 212. But somehow the idea of 231 as his tank sound thrilling. Maybe we'll never find out what tank he really used on that day in 1944.

But let's forget the number issue for a while. I asked about the sights and 131's spare tracks. Do you have any idea? And of course, same questions can be applied to 212, too. Cheers!
