This controversial picture came from the Missing-Lynx Allied DG. Apparently, the debate is about whether this vehicle is 1.) A rare Big Hatch 75mm Sherman or 2.) An even rarer 105mm Sherman IIb. Apparently, most people on the DG are willing to believe that the vehicle in question is a Big Hatch Sherman with a 75mm gun.

Either way, apparently the later M4A1 hull with big hatches was used with a non-T23 turret (76mm armed). Therefore, this is evidence the non-DD Big Hatch Shermans do exist.

Cheers!
