Hi folks,
Just a quickie. Although primarily for use on the Eastern front, would any Steyr RSO tractors have been used in Normandy? I was thinking that maybe divisions at the time being refitted to go back to the Eastern front (eg. Panzer Lehr Division) or those transferred directly from the Eastern front to Normandy (e.g. 9th and 10th SS Panzer Divisions) would have been at least partly equipped with these vehicles.
Is this a fair assumption? Also, apart from artillery and rocket batteries, what units would have used these vehicles? Engineer or workshop companies perhaps?
