3) The Concord series of books have some nice historical pictures of the Schwimmwagen in action. Unfortunately, when there are pictures in a Concord volume, there are only a few.
When I built my Schwimmwagen, I first scanned my Concord books and other references making note of what was where. If I find those notes, I'll post a follow up.
1) From the pictures in the Concord books I have, I'd say the skinny vs. wide tires ratio is about 50/50 or 40/60.
