hello!!

well, both is practilly the same tank, but with small differences:

The G have a longer gun barrel with a standard muzzle brake. The F2 have the short L43 gun barrel with a Ball-rounded muzzle brake (same as some Stug III F)

The G haven't the side visor hatches in turret.

Any G have smoke system in turret.

Any late G have Schurzen i n the turret and sides. And any g are extra armored with thicker armore plates.

There are many differences in the fenders, about distribution of tools and details.

Anyway, I recomend you to buy the ATCHUNG PANZER about pzIV. This book is basic and very well detailed.

But Also, I tell you don't worry, because many, many PzIV was a mix of PzIVG and PzIV F2. You can see many pictures of a PzIVF2 with the long barrel from PzIVG.

Best regards

Mig Jimenez
