Tank tracks were (and are) shipped by train. many photos show a track roll stored before the tanks on the usual flatbed wagons.
tank transporters could be used for short distances.
a merc L3000 is unlikely been used for such a transportation.
if so, because nothing else is available, the track will be broken down in single shoes in order to be handled by single soldiers (ok, 2 of them) and to distribute weight more evenly over the cargo space.
of course you try not to draw the attention of the vehicles officer which would gladly hang you for that ;)
