Agreed...

Both the M10 & M36 carried the 76mm gun, the M36 had the 90mm.

Even at ranges of 500 metres, the 76mm AP rounds were known to bounce off the Kitties, unless used against suspension gear or a side/rear shot. The 90mm on the other hand had better penetration, even if its turret was only marginally better than the other two.

The Germans even went as far as to make whats termed 'ersatz M10s' to try and slip them into the US lines. They added plates to a Panther hull and turret to give it a shape similar to the M10's.
