A while back there was a thread asking about the colour of Gardner engine fitted to the Scammell Pioneer. The image below is of an example which I am assured is in the factory finish. Accurate for a military vehicle? I'm not sure, but it's an option.
For anyone wishing to detail their Pioneer, I've got a couple more shots of this engine- let me know and I'll forward them to those who are interested.
