| Subject: | T-34/76 M1941 Question (for Terry Bodiam) | |

Hi-
For those of you with Military Modelling's latest issue (Volume 34 No. 9,just arrived here in Canada)you'll find a very usefull section in Despatch page 16on Dragon's T-34/76 Model '41. Mr. Bodiam covers what can and cannot be done with this kit out of the box. Basicaly, it points out what must be done to the kit to use the various decals supplied. Put another way, if you use this decal you have to do these mods. Mr. Bodiam mentions the tank shown in the colour illustration with the mesh pattern applied belonging to Katukov's 1st Guards
tank brigade (among others he goes onto to mention), then explains what needs to be done to modify the kit appropriately. He does not say that any of these tanks had the all steel roadwheels, which, probably means none of them did. He does say that the other two he covers in his section did have the all steel roadwheels.
What I'd like to know is: despite his not saying so, could any of the tanks of Katukov's 1st tank brigade used the all steel roadwheels?
While I have not seen Mr. Bodiam as a contributor to this forum, to the best of my recollection, I am addressing this question to him just in case. Obviously, I'd also like to hear from anyone else who has an answer.
With thanks-
Geoff Steer [;-{/) |
