Squadron/ Signal's "Stug III in action", has some good pics of Stug III G from GD. It shows Stug III F and early and late Stug III G.
The Tamiya kit of the Stug III G is a model of a rare and possibly remanufactured vehicle. The only pic I have ever seen of a real Stug that looks like the Tamiya kit is of a Stug III G abandonded in Yugoslavia in 1944. The pic is featured in Armada Vertical No. 6 "Camouflage of German military vehicles 1930-1945".
btw. Tamiya made a small mistake in the kit, the vertical part of the engine deck needs to have the joint between the sides and rear plate, interlocked.
