| Subject: | M4A2 Red Army questions | |

Hi guys,
Being more Axis guy than Shermanoholic I need some info before I buy that excellent latest DML release of M4A2 Red Army version. Here are some questions:
1. Anyone can tell me whether lend-lease Shermans supplied to the Russians had any radio installed (either US or Russian type)? Did the tanks carry antenna on the mount?
2. Anyone know if the Russians used a lot of accessory stuff on their Shermans (e.g. tarps, bedrolls, camo nets, ammo&food boxes an so on) similar as the US crews did? If yes, was their stuff more US or Russian origin? Did they try to uparmor their tanks adding spare track links or steel plates or Russian Shermans looked rather bare when compared to US vehicles?
Can anyone tell me something about this? I only heard about Russians carrying wooden logs and 200 litres fuel drums on their M4A2’s.
Thanks,
Piotr |
