The first DAK vehicles shipped to North Africa where overall dark grey and painted in yellow-brown (RAL 8000) in the field. So they had dark grey bases, this is how many DAK models are depicted.

Is this correct for later DAK vehicles? Where they not finished in the factory overall yellow-brown directly over the red-oxide primer? What about the later brown vehicles (RAL 8020), was this also applied directly over the primer.

Paul.
