Don't sink everything into one photo showing flat/square shields as the only “one” handy I could find is in fact a photo of a pair damaged shields. Look at the photo I posted as “and then” where you can see that the shields are damaged at both the tops and the bottoms. The far (right hand side) shield has a dent straight across it between the bottom slit and the next one up. That type of dent would take the curve out of a bent/rounded shield.
What I’m trying to say is that the square one may only be a repair job as its no where near as common as the bent type (the weaker strength of flat sides makes it a lesser choice in my book).
