| Subject: | Dutch armor in East Indies and at home... | |

| In doing a little research on the Marmon-Herrington light tanks I found that quite a number were being purcvhased for the Dutch East Indies army; I think about 500 AFV's in all were planned. This seems like quite a force for a small nation in a far away colony and a lot more tanks than served in Holland in 1940 when the Germans invaded. Why not spend the money for defence of the home and have these tanks stationed in Holland? I sence there is more to this. Thoughts? |
