Bjorn,
Unfortunately I don't have access to a scanner. The photo is the Russian
language book with atitle along the lines of German Tanks of WWII, it has a
black cover with a photo of an ealry StuG in the centre..
Your comment about the first 12 being made on rebuilt chassis and the last
12 on new chassis is interesting and this plus the timings question seems to
stem from the initial copy of EGTWW2 and some confusion between the siG 33B
auf PzII and that Auf Pz III and that Auf PZ IV (brummbar). The errata to
EGTWW2 does not list any chasssis numbers. My review on TL discusses this
and includes quotes from German command orders. Also the chassis numbers
for the SiG 33B auf Pz III shown in EGTWW2 are in error (have a look at the
chassis numbers the book quotes for varying StuG and the production dates).
So far I haven't found any photo of a sIG33B on an F/8 chassis as would be
expected if the second batch was built on current production new chassis,
but have found photos of the second batch on pre F chasssis.
