Hiya Paul ,

I think I can Help you here on the engine deck vents .Depending on what refrences you have for matching these with I think the easiest thing to do is copy the DML ones from Kit 9044 Pz IV F1 DAK .Copy these measurements to a .040 sheet stock , I actually used the Tamiya Pz IV H new tooled Schuren to make these . After drawing these shaped measurements onto your stock carefully cut out the small slab .Trim it with a sanding stick and then mark on the solid engine doors where as close to exactly you want them . Now glue your slabs down onto your doors neatly carefully washing liquid polly around the edges neatly to blend them .When the glue has set awhile take a knife and go around the outer edge nipping the soft glued edge to give a weld bead effect. Let this glue dry thoroughly possibly a whole 24 .After its totally dry cut out the interior of these shapes continuously until you have them down to just a proper frame work . Now your main vent frame is done , put a .020 sheet under it and closely copy the holes on both holes .Cut these shapes out making them closely , snuggly fit inside your frames .Now glue these onto a larger size sheet of .020 with extensions on all the edges .When the glue dries trim the larger sheet so that it makes an exterior frame around the slab . Now your slab will fit into your door frame but will stop at the edged outer surface . When this is completely dry cut out the interior on this also down to a proper thin frame .Now you need .010 x .100 styrene strip to make your vent strips look at your refrences and glue them evenly on ,according to the refs . Now you have to do the same thing to the inner frame only off setting the vent strips opposite the main frame vents .When all the strips are dry sand the ends down good kind of rounding the edges downward a bit . Now all you need is about a .030 x .030 square rod strip to make the center support strip for the door frame carefully centering these in from end to end .Now if your bottom frame fits in properly you should be done .I hope this Helps thats how I made the TMD F1 ones that I made .

Brian
