Eric,
There are indeed two types of covers, the earlier being peaked in the center the latter having a flat center. I have a copy of the ordnance drawing of the latter type part #B257848. They are 8.25 x 4.00 inches and approx 5/8 inch high, the drawing does not show a side view to determine exact height. The best covers in plastic are the ones in Tamiya's M4 kit, these were used to make the masters for the Formations set with only the hinge detail altered. The Tamiya kit has part of the hinge molded to the turret. The actual part has a bit more of a rounded corner than the kit parts. Tiger Model Designs does offer the earlier style of peaked cover in their periscope sets. Thanks to Martin for the kind words about our product. I hope some of this helps.
