Aa Saul mentioned, there are very curious examples of the non-holed Panther tracks. However, the vast majority of wartime photos show that they were part of the real thing. Don't go by models as references, in general. It's your call.

Alternatives to Fruil are WW2Productions (easier to use) and Modelkasten (a tiny bit less expensive but fiddlier to use)
