I'm kind of surprised at how much the moveable plate rocks back in your photo - you must be bending very thick stock.

Anyhoo, if you want to keep the moveable head level, put a piece or two of scrap stock from the same sheet on the opposite side under the head.

Changing the location or configuration of the pins won't really help much. If you want a tight sliding fit (which you do) you can't really have more than two pins without requiring exceptional alignment and accuracy in the construction of the tool. A prying load like you've shown is really only resisted by the tight fit of the pins. One thing that can be done is to make the head wider so that the fulcrum is as far away from the workpiece as possible. This will reduce the the rocking angle and the bending load on the pins.
