Thanks for the info, Mike.
I'm assuming that the turret serial is 4328E, but that the arms of the E are missing. If so, this turret should have an acceptance date of around 6-14-43, based on bracketing by other turrets. If you look on the "brow" of the turret, you should see three rows of numbers:
D50878
4328
7315
That last number is a guess on my part - it's the heat lot of the turret, again based on bracketing data.
If you can get a look at or even a copy/scan of that rebuild paper, I'd appreciate it. It would help with the postwar history of Sherman's to know the location of the rebuild or anything else.
