Chapter 2: Painting the Base
I gave the base a wash of black paint, then let it dry. Somewhere I read that realistic brick colors can be made by laying in bright primary colors as a first stage. Then, washes with sepia and other dark shades are made to turn the riot of 70s color into something weathered and real looking. The picture shows the hideous stage. |
