Hi
I'm not sure if anyone is following this blog, but it's bogged down now.
I am trying to paint faces with acrylics. I figured it was worth a shot. Man, what a mess.
I have the Lynn Kessler book, and I've tried three faces now (the two paras for this dio, and a crossbowman). Blech!
Any suggestions of good face mixes, and tips for using acrylics would be appreciated.
I used a Humbrol flesh basecoat, and then tried the Kessler/Winar mixes for the paras. They started OK, but I ended up with very stark shadows, and my attempts at glazes and filters have led to two very muddy pinkish looking paras!
Sigh...
I know, I should just stick to oils...
Any assistance here would be greatly appreciated!
