Indeed, there are in fact 3 more Rams in resin than the two I show; the
two you mention and the very old Lone Star kit. I have never seen the
Lone Star kit but Cookie trashed it in the very first AMPS Boresight
mag. The Verlinden kit came next and Barry Beldam took a slice out of
it, as well, in a later Boresight. The H&K 35/ Kit & Co model was next
and I reviewed this kit in Boresight in the late 90's and gave it a
moderate bollocking. From Barry's measurements of the Verlinden kit, the
H&K is a complete knock off of it. I also have the S-Model kit and it is
a knock-off of the first two with a few modifications, including some
very original problems of its very own. The Resicast kit is the only one
of the currently available kits that doesn't owe its lineage from the
Verlinden kit. As the build progresses you will see what have to do to
this kit as well.
As for the references, I have the two W&T, but I think you might have
transposed the issue with the Goodwood article. I have #13 and its not
in there. If the only Ram references are to the H&K kit, then I'd give
it a miss, but if there are any other images or text regarding Rams, I'd
appreciate a photocopy or scan.
