Chapter 6 - Lower Hull
Here is the lower hull, well along. The differential housing has had the casting numbers added, the suspension mount plates removed, rear idler mounts replaced with recast DML parts and a new rear plate made from a slightly modified DML M4A1 rear plate. Note that the DML/Italeri rear plate sits _inside_ the hull walls of the too-wide Lee hull. The idler mounts have to be cut off and repositioned to line up with the outer edges of the hull so that the idler sits in the right line.
Next up is to add the ABM suspension bogeys, the differential housing flanges adn details adn then add some cast texture to that housing. The underside of the sponsons will be added once the upper hull is in place. |
