Hi Paul
On this figure, the mail looks great. It is very much individual rings. Mike Blank (the sculptor) does fabulous work. The mail around the sleeves and in folds is wonderfully detailed. I have no idea how he did it!

You'll see that the mail of the coif/aventail is really well detailed too.
I have a Norman knight from Pegaso with great mail too. Basically, Pegaso, Elite and other premier European manufacturers sculpt some trememdous figures. Of course they're more than US$25 each now because of the strength of the Euro! I've seen some figures where the mail is 'hinted' at more than here. Mike has the mail as close as it can get to individual links.
