Chapter 2. Gentlemen, Start Your Engines!
The engine that comes with the kit is pretty good but I made a few adjustments.
#1. shows the basic parts that make up the engine. The battery, radiator top air cleaner,oil filter, ect. are all molded as one piece.
#2. shows the parts seperated and some additions to some of them. The engine block, manifold, and other components are all glued together.
#3. and #4. are shots showing a crude distributor cap and sparkplug wires I made up.
Since the hood will be closed the engine won't be seen in the end anyhow, but the excercise of looking at research images and putting this together familiarized me with the Jeep power source for future builds where the hood is open, perhaps. |
