Chapter 7. Olive drab - not just a colour
Picture # 1. shows the variety of drab colours I picked up. Some were recommended in an article that was written by Steve Zaloga in Military Modelling (Vol.32.No.3), on olive drab. These include Humbrol 155, Tamiya XF-62, Model Air (Vallejo) 043. Some on the list I counldn't find. I chose a few others though, ModelMaster olive drab 34087, Polly scale 505080 U.S. Olive Drab, and a Aqueous Hobby Color (Gunz Sangyo) H78. I ended up using the ModelMaster colour.
#2. and #3. show the detail I did to the wheel rims (air nipple) prior to the painting out with drab. Just drilled out a recess and installed some stretched sprue. |
