Chapter 11 - Getting Interesting
Now I have added the clear plastic headlight parts. The inside of the green plastic shell was painted silver. I wanted them on before more dust was applied. They would get dirty on the real vehicle which is what I want to portray.
I've kept the wheels off to avoid coating them with an inappropriate dirt colour. I try to paint these to depict dirt accumulating from the outside in, so they will be weathered separately and added later. I try to apply the weathering colours as if the vehicle was driving down some dusty road. The dirt would accumulate from the bottom up and the upper surfaces receive the minimal amount of dusting. |
