Chapter 1 - Aftermarket Stuff and Reference
I bought the Alan kit last year, there was no PE set for it at that time. I bought an Eduard Pz. I F set, thought I can modify it to be used on the IIJ. Now Eduard have released a set for it, so I went out to get one before I start the project. The Pz. I F Set went back to the closet, waiting for its turn later. (what else I will be doing after I've done with all those PzII's?)
In AFV Modeller Issue 14 there is one good article on detailing this kit. I have read that thoroughly during my trip to the US earlier this year. Though the magazine was not with me (I lent it to a friend), I remember well all the major details, and in the Panzer and Ground Power magazines I got, there are couple photos that are useful. Besides, in an old MMiR there is an article on detailing the Alan Pz. I F, which is quite helpful also, as the 2 kit share many common parts. The choice for an aftermarket barrel is a little difficult though. More on that later. |
