Just a note, the Italeri kit is a MK I, not a MK II at all. The way to tell this is the gunners visor to the left of the gun. On the MK I this piece stood proud of the armor like on the Italeri kit. On the MK II it was flush. Other changes were thicker armor on the MK II which was shaved on the corners so not to foul the sub turret but this would be hardly noticable. To make it a true MK II would not be too difficult. It is a surprise Italeri didn't include the full sandshields with this kit. All Crusaders in the desert had sandshields fitted. The kit as it is can be built as a Crusader in the UK.
I'm looking forward to seeing the blog, Crusader is one of my favorite kits.
