I think Brian is referring to the "gap" as in the space between the lower edges of the brake hatch hinges and the transmission cover, in that they are set too far from the edge. Perhaps "gap" is a poor choice of words. Also at the top we can see that the bolts are right up against the "bend" (it's actually a very slight weld) in the piece. There should be a "gap" here.

This is what I fixed.
