Chapter 8 - The Gun Part 3
OK here steps 3, 4 and 5 are complete and we have the finished gun assembly in a base coat of black with a light overspray of dark yellow.
A wash and lots of dry brushing when we get closer to final stages will follow this.
The assembly can be completely finished and weathered off the vehicle and attached last.
Note the gun does indeed elevate and there was no need to alter any parts in my example for this assembly to fit correctly. I think the key here is to look at pictures of the real thing, because the instructions, as I've said before, are not nearly complete enough for an assembly this complicated.
Parts F12 and F39 do not fit well and require removal of the locator pins. I then added wire and lined up that way and then flooded with MEK to get a good strong bond. |
