Chapter 5 - Secondary Turrets

Here are the four secondary turrets, two with the 45mm guns (primered), two with 7.62x54r machine guns (unpainted). I used Model Point barrels for the 45mm.Made of brass, these are actually two-piece barrels which give a realistic opening between the barrel and the outer sleeve. The kit barrels have a flared muzzle, which is incorrect from the photos I've seen. The MP barrels are longer overall, requiring the turret mount to be drilled open so the barrel can be seated at the proper depth.

Internal details on these turrets are very sparse; in fact, the 45mm cannon has no breach assembly at all. I'm frankly surprised that an after-market company hasn't come out with some interior details for this kit.

Up next: more lower hull details.

PS - I will apologize now for the photo quality. The blue background doesn't really work, and I'm still experimenting with my photo setup.
