Lower Hull Front - short shot corrections

I glued on the glacis plate (part no. A-10). It fit well but due to some "short-shot" problems with these (and all) very early production kits the "lip" is missing from the top of the front plate and the sides of the front plate need more definition.

Referring to the photograph... I add a strip of 0.015" styrene along the top of the front plate, this brings it up to the level of the glacis and leaves the weld bead recessed. To the side similar strips were added too. I also added strips of 0.010" styrene along the sides of the glacis. This was more to prevent a gap from being visible when the fenders are finally installed. After all this set it was carefully sanded flush.

The 30mm face-hardened "Zusatzpanzerung" (supplementary armour) which is included in the can be added to the front. This does cover up most of the work.

Note: Tristar told me the following: "This is the injection problem at the first lot order because some grease fill into the mold during production. The plastic cannot run through the molding so that the lower hull front armour plate is little bit lower. This is not the problem of the mold and this is quite difficult to found out during production period.".
