Thanks for the info' Paul, I'll contact you direct for those pictures.
As I say, the plan is to make it fully 'mechanically accurate' if references can be found. True, most of the detailing won't be seen on the finished article, but there'll be plenty of pictures to preserve the work for posterity! If complete details for the MKIII don't come to light, it could always be back-dated to a MKI/II, as two wheel drive Super Snipe ref's are easier to come by. I agree, it's a great little kit and IMA are to be aplauded for producing the kit in a form that allows super detailing, but there are a lot of small detailing issues including those you've picked up on that I'll try to adress as the BLOG goes on.
