Painting the Figure

I have begun to paint the figure. It was undercoated first, then pained with oil paints. The photo on the left shows the first layer of paint on the jump suit/helmet and some pre shading on the face. The photo on the right shows highlights added which will be blended next with a soft clean brush. At that stage I will add into the paint some powdered pastels to make the uniform look dirty. I will use the same colors as use to weather the tank. The pastels blend into the paint with a very subtle effect.
