Construction of the Flatbed Wagon

The first thing to do is cleaning the resin parts, filling the cast pinholes and repairing the transport damages. The parts fit quire well and repairing and filling is strait forward. A slight warpage is cured with a blow dryer. All joints of the big parts are secured with steel pins because I have made the experience, that ca glue joints easily break in moments mostly unexpected.

A comparison photo shows how big the 15cm gun is compared to the much more powerful K 5 (E). I found it hard to find reference material for this project without buying expensive books. I found about three pictures on the Internet and have some in my books. Very helpful are the pictures in Ian Hogg's "Deutsche Artilleriewaffen".

The further completion is quiet easy. I installed the attachment parts for the outriggers and next the stepped platforms from the lower to the higher platforms. Most of the hex bolt heads are replaced by home cast bolt heads. I added a lot of details I found on the photos, like the six rings on the sides of the higher platforms and the attachments positions for the outrigger struts.

All sorts of handles and hinges have to be made with the provided copper wire. The struts for the outriggers are made with the supplied brass wire and hooks made of white metal.
