AFV Club M3A3 kit is much nicer overall. The Academy M3 kit is well molded and poorly researched, unfortunately. Suspension sits too high, sponson side is too deep (though the sand skirts will conceal this). Vision slots on cupola are not lined up with each other (Eduard has replacement parts). Most of the interior is for an M3A1 and cannot be used. Gun tube is six scale inches too long, as early Stuarts had the gun tube shortened so it would not extend past the leading edge of the hull (early war designers were overly worried about careless drivers spiking gun tubes into things--the Panzer III had its 50 mm gun shortened for the same reason).
Formations does offer a resin lower hull tub that will let you mate the Stuart suspension set (sold separately by AFV Club) with the Academy upper hull.
