Paul: Go ahead and send the barrel please, I have only gotten as far as snipping the major pieces off and the next chapter (tomorrow night) will be titled "test fit" or the like. Dry fitting it thus far reveals a nice perfectly engineered Hetzer and I am just drooling to put it together. Too bad I have to go slow and take so many pictures! I bet this thing would go together in two or three sittings. Their little 1/48th kits are nice and I've built over half of them by now, and they go together litteraly in just 3 or so hours, on average. Anyway, I'll hopefuly have some references soon and can perhaps do a review on the barrel (if no one else has?), and as long as it's not horribly inaccurate, I'll mount the LionMarc barrel on the kit and detail it's fit and whatnot here in the blog.
Mr Williams! Long time no see! I lost my hard drive about a month ago and thus, all my emails and email addy's so I'm glad you dropped a line. After your comment, I'll have to sent you a special picture. Just gotta get one or both dogs to cooperate first...Muhehehehehe! Anyhoo, regarding your querries, I've no specific references, other than the Osprey "Modelling the Jagdpanzer Hetzer". I still need to thumb through some of my other generic books for a picture that may inspire me, otherwise I'll go with one of the Tamiya plans from their instructions. Something with a weathered tri color scheme is what I am leaning towards right now. I'll be back at it here tomorrow night with another chapter. I just got home tonight. 13 hours at work, then off to the local car dealer before they closed. Nissan's Rogue just arrived at the dealers today. It's similar to the Qashqai that I believe they sell over on your side of the pond but over here it's a bigger engine and bit different body style. I'm ready for a new car SO BAD...gotta have something nice to haul them there beagles around in ya know. Ok gents, catch ya'all tomorrow night. |
