The clip is actually from Top Gear, the BBC's motoring show. It was first shown in 2005, & I believe the unit involved is 1st Royal Tank Regiment (see the Chinese Eyes painted either side of the turret? That's a legend by itself, as any tankie will tell you).
The presenter with the irreverant line in wit is Jeremy Clarkson, who knows a little bit about soldiering because his late father-in-law, Major Robert Cain, was a holder of the Victoria Cross. He won it at Arnhem in 1944 for knocking out 13 German tanks & SP guns single-handedly whilst armed with a PIAT, which he fired from the hip.
Clarkson also did a programme a few years ago where he went to RAF Lakenheath for a trip in an F-15 Strike Eagle with the USAF. They demonstrated the F-15's aerobatic capability for him whilst he was in the back seat, & he filled 5 sick bags before reaching 35,000 feet! He proudly held them all up for the camera after landing. That one is probably on YouTube somewhere as well.
Clarkson is always good value for money entertainment-wise because he appeals to the overgrown schoolboy in most of us. He & his 2 equally mad compatriots on Top Gear once turned a Renault Espace people-carrier into a convertible by sawing the roof off with angle grinders, & attaching a soft top which they'd sewn together themselves. It actually worked as well, until they decided to put it through a car wash. The soft top became detached from its mountings & fouled up the roller brushes of the car wash, causing it to overheat & catch fire. Car wash & Renault Espace were reduced to a pile of ash. The 3 presenters baled out before the fire caught hold & were last seen giggling behind a wall as flames shot into the sky.
I would best describe the show for US/Canadian readers as being a bit like Jackass with expensive cars.....

All the best,
Chris.
