Assembled Hull
And, of course, now that the upper hull is actually in place, my original suspicions are confirmed: most of the interior is quite difficult to see, even without the gun in place, and even the simple details that I added now seem quite pointless. Hmm.
Unfortunately there were some unsightly gaps when the two hulls were joined, particularly along the seams that lie behind the suspension and under the fenders. Mental note to self: next time, add the running gear *after* joining the hulls. Fortunately, the worst of it will be hidden once the tracks are in place, and with a combination of some filler and liquid cement to "weld" the seams it will hopefully not look too bad once completed. (This problem took me by surprise, since the same hull join on the previous Fujimi kit had virtually no gaps at all.) |
